I remember when Dragonfly - Lavender first came out years ago...
This was when we rented a spot in a consignment shop in York. That shop sadly isn't there anymore!
This was in 2020, and meetups were, well, stressful, ha! But we got our masks on and we figured it out =).
A new mom came to meet me at the shop, and we chatted for quite a while! I remember she was really wanting something that she could use and that her husband would wear. I can't remember now what option she chose specifically for her husband. She kept looking away from the Dragonfly Lavender... and I've seen that look. I said to her, who is going to use this the most? "I am." Okay, well, then let's choose something you love, okay? Because I want you to enjoy wearing your baby. And if you are the one using it the most - or the only one using it, period! - it should bring you joy. <3
In the end, she chose 2 beautiful carriers, a ring sling to share with her and her husband, and this gorgeous Dragonfly - Lavender long woven wrap to enjoy for herself.
I talk to a lot of moms in this situation - I think sometimes as moms, we feel guilty for just... wanting something for ourselves to enjoy. But you know what? Misery DOESN'T make you a better mom. Denying yourself something you'll use and appreciate and will make you smile, well, it just doesn't make sense! Your children deserve to see you happy. I can tell you from experience now, that they really are so little for SUCH a short time. And it is HARD to remember a lot of things if you are in the thick of it.
A beautiful baby carrier that makes you feel special every time you use it? THAT is worth it. Practical, comfortable, and beautiful- and you'll feel amazing wearing it! If you know me in real life, you know, that I am NOT one to go out and buy the latest xyz whatever. I keep things pretty simple- maybe too simple sometimes! But one thing I know for sure - some things are worth getting something you'll really love. And baby carriers are DEFINITELY one of those things.
Honestly, this Dragonfly - Lavender is such a dream to hold. First of all, the colors are stunning. Purple is my favorite, of course, but it's such a beautiful gradient.
The linen in this blend really elevates not only the feel of the carrier, but the look, too - just a really elegant piece!
