Onbuhimos & Wrap Strap Meh Dais can both be used as waist-less carriers. They don't require the tying that a long woven wrap does, and they are both quick to use.
The onbuhimos at Mama & Roo's are buckle onbuhimos - they use a chest clip but no waistband. These are the most challenging carrier style we carry and require upper body strength to be built up over time to be comfortable. Still with it, and you'll be rewarded with a super light, packable carrier perfect for quick "ups"! This carrier can only be used by children who can support their own airway- starting around 4-6 months for most.
Our wrap strap meh dais have a structured panel and 4 long wrap straps. These can be tied in a variety of ways and can even be modified to carry a newborn! Wrap strap meh dais are useful as a stepping stone to learn how to back carry in a long woven wrap. They are easy to learn and easy to customize. Comfortable for a wide range of caregivers, this is a great option for anyone who doesn't mind a little extra fabric in exchange for a lot more flexibility!
